In a bizarre partnership that breaks traditional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Uncovered

According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of forbidden rituals and terrifying transformations reverberate through the darkness." The plot presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret group.

The adventure concentrates on "strange experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Changes

The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Bonus Content

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an special katana alongside several objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

• Mikasa attire for Naoe

• Survey Corps vehicle

Latest Free Story Update

This update also adds the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "The Enigma." This playful mission teams Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange characteristic abilities: Naoe debuts a theatrical version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-lethal stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Enigma" also includes a fresh environmental puzzle that may ultimately shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
