President Donald Trump announced on the weekend that he has extended an invitation the loved ones of a Guard member fatally shot last week to attend the presidential home.

He noted that he conversed with her parents and they were “devastated”.

Her colleague, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, remains hospitalized in grave state.

The president explained he’s proposed a meeting at the presidential residence for the loved ones of both individuals of the state National Guard.

“I said: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a difficult moment, come to the White House. We’re going to honor Sarah,” the president addressed journalists. “And similarly with Andrew, recover or not.”

Mourners gathered over the past few days at a local school in West Virginia to honor Sarah.

Both they had been working with the military unit as part of the president’s national effort to support public safety in the capital.

“She was the individual that teachers desired. She behaved with inner fortitude, a contagious smile and a upbeat demeanor that lifted people around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the leader of her alma mater, told the press. “She was caring, compassionate and always ready to assist people.”

Officials have accused a twenty-nine-year-old suspect with one count of homicide and charges of attempted murder while carrying a weapon.

The incident caused the government to suspend asylum processing and halt granting visas to holders of Afghan passports.

Status of Andrew Wolfe

Andrew Wolfe, a resident of Martinsburg, started his military career in 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman high school, as reported by the AP.

He remains under medical supervision and is “battling to survive”, the state’s leader Morrisey said on Fox News Channel’s The Sunday Briefing.

Attorney general Pam Bondi informed the program that she planned to visit Wolfe’s family.

Sarah, from Summersville, graduated from her high school in June 2023 and joined the military shortly after, serving as a law enforcement officer with distinction, as stated by the military.

“She had a lot of goodness and she definitely had fortitude,” the governor informed the audience at the memorial. “Though her life ended too soon, she has made an impact that’s going to last forever.”
