Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The trio have been honoured for their exceptional achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin rose to fame with a unprecedented innings.

Littler won the award in 2024 after his remarkable rise.

The three contenders were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.

The champion will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.

The show will be broadcast from 19:00 GMT.

Michelle Agyemang

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her international debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to winning the Euros.

She was introduced as a substitute to score vital last-gasp goals in both the knockout stage games.

Her incredible contributions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the finest emerging star on the continent.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"Being on the shortlist for this honour is incredible," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

The Darts Prodigy

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

His success continued - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, breaking the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a big honour," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a highlight for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and rose to fame with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.

Perrin finished second in the run-scoring charts and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm truly honoured to be nominated for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it inspires more young females to get into cricket."
